Our advice: Look for shampoos and conditioners that are sulfate free but heavy on moisture. Bonus points for formulas that leave hair feeling bouncy and lightweight.
Wear your piece every day and wash it at the very last minute? We feel you. An occasional shampoo with sulfates can give it a deeper clean.

Hair Masks & Leave-Ins
Our advice: Use a deep moisturizing mask at least every other wash, and let your piece soak in a water and product bath for at least 20 minutes before rinsing. Silicones are okay with us for masks, ideally water based.
Detangle gently before every wash, starting at the ends and working your way up toward the cap.

Our advice: A little product goes a long way on alternative hair. Start small and build, so styles hold without heavy buildup.

Our advice: Work oils and serums through the mid-lengths and ends, and keep them away from the cap and knots so your hairline stays clean and secure.

Lace Care
Our advice: Lace is the most delicate part of your piece. Clean it gently, skip harsh scrubbing, and let it dry completely before wearing.
Store your piece on a stand or in its box between wears to keep the lace from creasing or snagging.
