A few important things you need to know:

For Concierge applications: 

  • Once you send us your piece, you agree the item is in consignment and in our possession. You may not sell it on any other channel or social media account for 90 days. If it is still available after 90 days, we will return it back to you.
  • If you would like your hair piece back before the 90 days, you will be charged a $75 cancellation fee.
  • All photos and videos taken by Resell : Silk or Lace of your piece is solely owned and may be used by Resell : Silk or Lace only. You may not use these pictures or videos to resell your piece on any other platform, social media account, or share these photos. 
  • You give us permission to create content and take photos/videos of the hair piece for selling and marketing purposes.
  • If you send us your piece and it does not match the description and images you gave us and/or it does not match our quality expectations, we will return the piece back to you and it will not be posted on our site.
  • After it has sold on Silk or Lace, the customer has 3 days upon receiving the piece to decide whether they will keep the piece. Once those 3 days are up and the customer did not return, we will pay you via Paypal. 25% commission will be deducted from the selling price and sent to you via PayPal.
  • You must thoroughly wash the item before sending to us and send it to us in a clear, plastic ziplock bag. 
  • If after 90 days the piece does not sell, we ask that you also pay for the postage to send the piece back to you as well. 

For DIY applications:

  • Once you list your hair piece, you may not simultaneously sell it on any other channel. If the piece sells on our website and you do not have the hair piece in your possession, you are responsible for a $50 order cancellation fee.
  • All photos and videos must portray the current condition of the hair piece as accurately as possible. Any defects or alterations must be disclosed at time of listing.
  • You give us permission to create content and take photos/videos of the hair piece for selling and marketing purposes.
  • If the customer receives your piece and it does not match the description and images provided in the listing, the customer is eligible to return the piece to you at your cost and it will not be re-posted on our site.
  • All mediations between you and the buyer will be conducted via email through Silk or Lace. We will do our best to fairly assess the dispute and rule a decision on behalf of both parties.
  • You may not edit the listing information once it is posted. You may edit the price on your account dashboard or delete the listing itself and resubmit a new application if you would like to make any changes.
  • Once your item sells, you agree to ship the piece within 3 business days. The hair piece must be clean and enclosed in a clear, plastic bag. We will send you a shipping label and further instructions via email! If the piece is not shipped out within 3 business days, the transaction will be avoid and you as the seller are responsible for a $50 order cancellation fee.
  • After your piece has sold on Silk or Lace, the customer has 3 days post receiving the piece to return the item. You will be notified via email and paid for the item once the customer has decided to keep the piece.
  • 15% commission will be deducted from the final selling price and reimbursed to your Paypal account.

Do you accept international applications to sell pieces on Resell : Silk or Lace?

Yes! We accept lightly worn pieces from outside the U.S for Concierge applications only at this time. However, we ask that the seller pay for the postage to send the piece to us.

If after 90 days the piece does not sell, we ask that you also pay for the postage to send the piece back to you as well.

Resell : Silk or Lace Agreement:  

We maintain an online marketplace at www.silkorlace.com for the display, marketing and sale of lightly worn boutique hair pieces and related items.

Seller and Marketplace both desire the inclusion of Seller’s products on the Marketplace and both parties enter into this Agreement for that purpose. This Agreement also incorporates Our Customer Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (see above).

Operation of the Marketplace

We will maintain and promote Our online marketplace, including making timely updates of product listings, educational content, product reviews and images, customer terms and conditions, customer privacy, purchase and return policies, and related content.

We will include listings for Your lightly worn hairpiece products on Our online marketplace at www.silkorlace.com , including selected product photos, product information, and customer-supplied photo or video images. We will select, aggregate, and upload or post all relevant listing content from the Seller website or social media platforms.

We will manage all customer communications regarding purchase order status, and will communicate promptly with You about all product orders and customer questions and inquiries.

We will manage all customer purchase transactions, including prompt remittance of all sales proceeds to You (via PayPal).

Commissions and Payment Terms

We will receive a commission of 25% of the gross purchase price for Concierge and 15% of the gross purchase price for DIY hair pieces (excluding applicable sales tax) for each product sale transaction.

We will remit payment to You for each product sales transaction electronically via PayPal, after withholding our commission.

Merchandise Shipments and Returns

Once your product is approved (for Concierge applications) or sold (for DIY applications), You agree to promptly ship all product orders to Silk or Lace using the provided shipping label.

You will clearly and accurately post your contact information and address in case the product needs to be returned to you.

For Concierge applications, if the item listing has not sold within 90 days of listing, we will return the item back to you to the address listed and provide you return tracking number. You are responsible for keeping track of this shipment and promptly letting us know via email (contact@silkorlace.com) if there are any issues.

Seller Responsibilities

You will provide only accurate and verifiable product information on the application form, including all copy, photographic and video images. You will only provide product information on your website that is truthful and not misleading.

You grant us a prepaid, worldwide, nonexclusive license to use and post all content you provide to us on the Marketplace.

You will comply with all applicable health and safety rules and regulations regarding the production, sale and use of Your products. The item must be thoroughly washed before sending to Us.

You will promptly address Our questions and inquiries, as well as those You receive directly from any customers, about order status, order shipments, product information or features, and product returns.

Once You agree to sell this item to us, You may not sell on any other platform other than your direct site and Silk or Lace for 90 days. 

Confidentiality and Privacy

The terms of this Agreement are confidential. We and You agree to maintain the confidentiality of the terms and that neither party will disclose them to any third party except with the permission of the other or as required by legal process.

During the course of our Agreement, We and You will have access to confidential business information of one another, including without limitation customer data, product data, pricing and financial information, marketing and promotional information, and business planning information. We and You agree that the unauthorized disclosure of this information could cause economic harm to Our business or Your business. We and You agree to maintain the confidentiality of this information and that neither party will disclose the Confidential Information of the other to any third party except with the permission of the other or as required by legal process.

You will comply with all applicable rules and regulations regarding the privacy and use of customer information including without limitation the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and will maintain the confidentiality and security of this information with appropriate data security practices.

Liability and Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Marketplace and its affiliates (and their respective employees, directors, agents and representatives) from and against any and all claims, costs, losses, damages, judgments, penalties, interest and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of any claim, action, audit, investigation, inquiry or other proceeding instituted by a person or entity that arises out of or relates to: (i) any actual or alleged breach of your representations, warranties, or obligations set forth in this Agreement; or (ii) your own website or other sales channels, the products you sell, any content you provide, the advertisement, offer, sale or return of any products you sell, any actual or alleged infringement of any intellectual property or proprietary rights by any products you sell or content you provide, or the collection, payment or failure to collect or pay any taxes.

RESELL : SILK OR LACE MARKETPLACE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS MARKETPLACE AGREEMENT, THE SITE, THE INABILITY TO USE THE SITE OR THE MARKETPLACE, OR THOSE RESULTING FROM ANY GOODS OR SERVICES PURCHASED OR OBTAINED OR MESSAGES RECEIVED OR TRANSACTIONS ENTERED INTO VIA THE SITE. 

Dispute Resolution

All disputes arising under this Agreement will be resolved applying the laws of the State of Texas and adjudicated by a court locate in Dallas, County, Texas.
