Looking for a human hair wig with a realistic hairline, comfortable glueless wear, and an even flatter profile? Meet our new 4.0 cap construction.
This design has been in development for months, and it all started with customer feedback.
When we launched our 3.0 construction, we wanted to hear everything our customers thought, from in-person consultations to emails and everyday conversations. We listened closely to what women loved about the design and what they felt could be improved.
One piece of feedback came up again and again:
"The fit is great, but I wish it laid a little flatter at the top."
So we went back to the drawing board.
After months of research, development, and multiple iterations, we're excited to introduce a new construction designed around the feedback we received. Here's a closer look at the updates and the customer-favorite features we kept.
THE BREAKDOWN
The most common request we received was for an even smoother, flatter look at the top of the cap. To achieve that, we refined three key areas: the knotting method, the eartabs, and the hair itself.
Criss-Cross Knots
Our wigs have always featured a hand-tied lace section, but the knotting method is completely new in our 4.0 construction.
Our new criss-cross knot technique helps the hair lay closer to the scalp while creating softer, less-defined part lines. Instead of hair being tied in a uniform direction, the strands intersect naturally, helping disguise parting and creating a more realistic appearance.
An added benefit is that the hair maintains easy styling and movement while still achieving a flatter overall profile.
Elevated, Felt-Lined Eartabs
Another area that contributed to bulk was the eartab construction.
For our 4.0 cap, we replaced silicone-lined eartabs with a slim felt-lined design. This change helps reduce bulk along the side profile while adding comfort and structure.
We also raised the eartabs slightly higher than previous versions. This allows more room for glasses and creates a cleaner look when tucking hair behind the ears or styling the hair back into a ponytail.
Ultra-Fine Indian Hair
We've always chosen Indian hair for our wigs because of how lightweight and realistic it feels.
As we continued researching ways to create an even more natural-looking wig, we took a closer look at what makes Indian hair so unique. Compared to Brazilian hair, Indian hair strands are approximately 30% finer in diameter. That finer texture helps create the lightweight feel and soft movement our customers love. Most importantly, it feels like naturally thin hair.
THE FEATURES YOU DIDN'T WANT US TO CHANGE
While we made several refinements, there were also features customers consistently told us they loved. Those favorites are still part of our 4.0 construction.
Realistic Hairline
One of the fan favorite features of our wigs has always been the hairline.
Our wigs feature bleached knots throughout the entire lace area, helping each strand appear as though it's growing directly from the scalp. Combined with a carefully plucked hairline and ultra-thin HD lace, the result is a realistic, natural finish that blends beautifully against the skin.
Comfortable Glueless Wear
Our 4.0 wigs are still completely glueless!
We brought back the silicone-lined wefting introduced in our 2.0 construction and paired it with the lightweight, breathable weft design from our 3.0 cap.
