SILK OR LACE SHINES AT THE HELLO BEAUTIFUL DALLAS PREMIERE: CELEBRATING COMMUNITY, STYLE, AND SURVIVAL
Dallas, Texas — In an inspiring evening that blended fashion, film, and philanthropy, Silk or Lace joined forces with Brighter Magazine and top health-care and philanthropic sponsors for the Dallas premiere of Hello Beautiful on December 9th at the Angelika Film Center & Café.
This special screening — part cinematic experience, part celebration of resilience — underscored the collective effort to elevate awareness and support for women affected by cancer across the Metroplex. Silk or Lace’s sponsorship highlighted the brand’s commitment to women’s empowerment, community engagement, and storytelling that honors both strength and style.
A Film with Purpose
Hello Beautiful is more than a film — it’s a heartfelt docufiction journey inspired by Christine Handy’s personal battle with breast cancer. Adapted from her acclaimed book Walk Beside Me, the narrative weaves raw honesty with visual storytelling, celebrating resilience, hope, and the profound beauty found in survival. Supported by Lyda Hill Philanthropies as the presenting sponsor, the event brought together supporters from across Dallas and beyond to witness this powerful story on the big screen.

Silk or Lace: Elevating Impact Through Style
As a sponsor, Silk or Lace embraced the event’s values, reinforcing beauty not just as an aesthetic but as an emblem of courage and community strength. We dressed the event's ushers in Silk or Lace Collection 3.0 wigs with the models wearing a sash that wrote "It's a Wig" on them to raise awareness about hair loss from cancer.

When women talk about cancer, hair loss often comes up as one of the hardest parts to process emotionally. It’s the moment the illness becomes public and those who have experience hair loss from cancer, it feels like a physical representation of cancer taking its toll.
For many women, hair represents strength, sensuality, creativity, and self-expression. Losing it can shake confidence in ways that are hard to explain unless you’ve lived it.
Through showing more women wearing wigs, our goal was to give power back to those who lose hair from cancer. Through awareness and providing a realistic and natural looking solution, we believe women can feel like themselves again admist an emotionally and physically difficult journey.

Silk or Lace stands for confidence, beauty, and strength — traits that mirror the heart of Hello Beautiful.
A Community United
