What wig hairline suits me best?

What wig hairline suits me best?

A human hair lace wig hairline can make or break how natural the hairpiece looks on you.

We all want the most realistic looking wig, but sometimes a wig that looks natural on one person may not work for another. We gathered our Silk or Lace team to showcase how our different HD lace wig collections, the 2.0 version and the 3.0 version, work for their natural hairlines!

Suran and Lily, shown below, both have hairlines that suit either our 2.0 or 3.0 version. When choosing which one they should wear it comes down to which cap construction they prefer! You can see our visual dictionary of the 2.0 version here and 3.0 version here

Now for people like Janelle and especially Zoey and Nicole, its clear that the 3.0 version works best for their hairlines! This is because their hairline comes down further, or closer towards the eyebrow, in their temple area. Due to this feature of their natural hairlines, when they wear our 2.0 version their hairline will stick out of lace.

If they choose to wear a wig that matches their natural color and texture, this isn't as big of a deal because they can cut the lace closer to the wig hairline and blend in their own sideburn area.

However, if they choose to wear a wig that doesn't match their natural color unfortunately the sideburn blending trick would not suffice.

Our 3.0 cap construction version features a 0.5" lower hairline overall so for people like Janelle, Nicole and Zoey it allows them to wear whatever color they want without having to worry about their own hairline peaking out. You can see a video version comparison of this on Zoey here

Overall, understanding the natural makeup of your own hair and hairline will help you understand what wig features will suit you best and make wig shopping, especially online, that much easier!
