The search for selecting the right wig or hairpiece can be a bit daunting. There are so many different names and styles for pieces that it can be difficult to really know what is the best piece for you and your needs. I decided to search keywords on Google to see what were the most common questions asked when thinking about a wiglet.
If I’m going to be completely honest with you - one of the reasons I wanted to do this was because I had no idea what a wiglet was and I wanted to learn more about what the right piece is for me.
It turned out to be such a great and fun learning experience as it allowed me to dive into a world of knowledge not only about wiglets but also about how similar or different they are compared to other hairpieces!
So let’s dive deeper into the four most common questions and answers about…Wiglet for Women:
1.) What is a Wiglet?
The definition of a wiglet by the Merriam-Webster dictionary is essentially a small wig used to enhance a hairstyle.
Looking further, it turns out that it is also called a hair topper. Meaning a hair topper and a wiglet are the same thing just with different names.
A wiglet can also be called a half wig or partial wig. The main objective of a wiglet is to provide coverage to the top of the head and add body and volume throughout the hair.
2.) How do you use a Wiglet?
To determine if a wiglet is the best option for you - it is vital to know how to wear and use a wiglet.
These pieces are designed to provide coverage for thinning and bald spots on the head. So, if you are looking for something that can help with the thinning of your hair or you want to cover certain areas of your scalp then a wiglet is perfect for the job.
A wiglet can also be used to add fullness, volume and length to your hair.
The wiglet is secured on the head with clips usually four that are placed right on top of the head, therefore when thinking about buying a wiglet you should also make sure that these clips can be secured onto your hair.

3.) What is the difference between a Topper and a Wiglet?
As mentioned above, there is no difference between a topper and a wiglet - only in the name.
The use of the name depends on the person and how they are using the term, but essentially a hair topper and a wiglet are designed with and for the same purpose.
4.) Do hair toppers look natural?
A hair topper (or a wiglet) can look natural depending on the topper you buy. There are a couple of tips to keep in mind to make a hair topper blend seamlessly with your hair:
1. Look for a topper that matches your hair color - you will be able to style your hair however you like without there being a stark contrast between the topper and your hair.
2. Note that the length of your topper should be based on how you want it to look once you wear it. If you want it to look as natural as possible then you should choose a hair topper that is similar in length to your normal hair. If you want to add a bit of layers or want to try something different to change your look then the length will vary.
2. Taking care of your topper will allow the piece to keep its form without looking dull. You should wash your topper (only when it is necessary - too much can have negative effects) with suitable shampoo and conditioner to maintain color, shape and style.
